Complete your scuba diving training by learning to help yourself and others with the PADI Rescue Diver Course. Through knowledge development and practice scenarios you learn about: self rescue, recognizing and managing stress, emergency management and equipment, rescuing panicked divers, and rescuing unresponsive divers. Before taking the course you will need Emergency First Response and Secondary Care (CPR & First Aid) within the last 24 months or you can complete this training during the rescue course. All divers should complete first-aid, oxygen provider, and rescue training. Expect your buddies to be trained in these skills as well.
Course Overview:
- Complete five knowledge development segments and exam online via eLearning.
- Demonstrate skills from the Self-Rescue Review.
- Demonstrate 10 PADI Rescue Exercises in open water.
- Participate in Rescue Scenarios 1 and 2 in open water.
- Prepare an emergency assistance plan for a dive site.
