We all love swimming on a warm, clear, spectacular coral reef. We all want these reefs to be around for future generations, but how often do we discuss the fragile nature of our reefs and ways we can protect them? The AWARE Coral Reef Conservation Speciality Course is a chance to learn more about the world's fragile reefs and have that important discussion. This course can be used toward your PADI Master Scuba Diver Rating. This is a classroom only course and anyone can participate.
This specialty course is a perfect meeting activity for your water or conservation oriented club.
Through classroom discussions, you learn:
- How coral reefs function and the complex nature of life on a reef.
- Why coral reefs are so important.
- Why many coral reefs are in serious trouble.
- What you can do to prevent further decline.
- How Project AWARE unites divers and water enthusiasts to make a difference.
